Currently, map creators can add collaborators, but there is no way to transfer full ownership of a map to another user. This creates problems when the original creator is no longer active, changes account, or simply wants to hand control over to someone else. Allowing a map to be fully transferred would make long-term maintenance much easier for community projects and collaborative map makers. In addition, both creators and collaborators can only test a map after it has been published. This makes it difficult to refine locations, check playability, or fix issues without exposing an unfinished map to the public. A private “playtest mode” would allow creators to try the map exactly as players will experience it, but without making it visible in the public map list. These two features together would greatly improve the map-making workflow: creators could safely pass their projects to others when needed, and teams could properly test maps before publishing them, ensuring better quality and smoother collaboration.
