Feature requests

I would love an option to turn off notifications when friends complete the Daily Challenge. If you have a lot of active friends, you end up getting these notifications all the time, and they can get pretty annoying. I know other people who feel the same way. I don't think the notifications should be removed completely, but it would be great to have a setting to turn them off if you don't want to see them. That way, people who like them can keep them enabled, while everyone else can disable them.

I never miss a daily challenge, but a very cool feature would be to choose the mode (Move/NM/NMPZ). I always play no-moving, and I would like to be ranked among the people who play the same game mode as me, to compare with my friends' scores without having to select the ones who made 0 steps, and to have a reliable national/global ranking. Additionally, this would avoid accidental clicks.

Can we have badges past 1K for Daily Challenge streaks? And past 2K?

Please just delete the ingame notification when someone started to play the daily challenge. Or at least give us the option to deactivate this. Me and definitely other players don’t like getting 20+ daily challenge notifications a day. Should be an easy fix.

I've been using the daily challenges to monitor my progress, and enjoyed going from all bronze medals to a mix of silver and gold, and was looking forward to the first whole week of gold medals when I get that far. I still get a medal for finishing the challenge, but the weekly view just shows the challenge as completed now. Please bring back the medals in the weekly view.

About a week or two ago I started to get notified whenever a friend plays the daily challenge. PLEASE make it possible to disable this notification. I don't want to play the daily and I definitely don't want to get reminded 5 times a day that a friend is playing it!

Hi GeoGuessr team, First of all, thank you for the fantastic game – I play it daily and really enjoy the Daily Challenge in particular. I wanted to suggest a feature that I believe many players would appreciate: having detailed statistics for the Daily Challenge. Currently, I track things manually, but it would be amazing to have this implemented directly on the platform. Some ideas for what could be included: Highest score of the day Lowest score Longest streak (perfect rounds in a row) Average score of all participants A graph showing score distribution Personal historical performance overview (score progression over time) These insights would add a competitive and analytical layer that many in the community would enjoy. Daily Challenge should stay special. Duelling and Classic World Map is separate.

I have one button on my mouse configured as a back button. I sometimes manage to fat-finger it with my thumb and it closes the open map (such as daily challenge). After re-entering the round, my guess location is lost. Please store the guess location for the active round in the browser so that it restores the guess location when I re-open the game after such messup. For example today I knew I selected a location before this happenned and the game didn't really tell me that I had no location set because of the re-enter.
