Mongolia Classic Map needs to be reworked - Platinum medal practically unachievable
Good day Everyone at the GeoGuessr Development Team, I would like to thank you very much for your review and support back in the Greenland case. Even though I managed to complete the last medal by sheer luck while you were still reviewing the ticket, I am very sure your solution will save many other players from headaches in the future. Now, regarding Mongolia, a similar problem arises: There is simply too much unmapped (or glitchly / illogically mapped - many dirt roads) coverage with a way too high probability to spawn. An example is the Gobi national park (marked in brown, near the city Dalanzagdad) in the south which spawns in almost every second playthrough even though statistically speaking (counting the amount of locations with a polygon) it shouldn't spawn that often which means there is something off in the probability distribution in the classic map. That something is off in the probability distribution in Classic Maps generally is noticable by the fact that the GeoGuessr community creates "balanced" country maps for each country, so that the probabilities of each location in a certain country are equal. If the platinum medals weren't implemented, I wouldn't mind that much since the Gold Medal on Mongolia is relatively doable to achieve, however as a platinum medal hunter I need to express my concerns in this regard. I assume all of the scores visible on the leaderboards were from an older state when Mongolia didn't have that much coverage outside of Ulaanbataar. Therefore I would really appreciate if you could do something in that regard to make it possible for newer players like me to get the platinum medal on this map. Thanks in advance and best regards, Carter M.
