Cannot place a guess, whole game freezes
Hello, I'd like to report a recurring issue where the game completely freezes when I zoom in on the map to place a guess. Once it happens, I can't interact with the map or place a guess, making the game unplayable. This has happened in Ranked Duels at least three or four times in the past (which two I reported today) and once again today in the Daily Challenge (it also happened once before). It has occurred on two different computers using different browsers (Chrome and Brave/Supermium), so I don't believe it's an issue with my setup. The only way to get the game working again is to perform a full restart of my computer. By the time I reload the game, I've already lost the Ranked Duel or timed out in the Daily Challenge. I'm attaching 3 examples: the two I found from a Ranked Duels and one from today's Daily Challenge. In the Daily Challenge replay, only the last 40 seconds are visible because the freeze happened at the very start of the third location, right after I zoomed in on the map and I was able to restart the computer with 40 seconds left. At first I thought this was just a problem on my end, so I didn't bother to report at the time. However, since it's happened multiple times on different computers and browsers, I wanted to report it before it affects more games. I'd appreciate it if you could investigate this. Turbo Mode - Timer is still broken
Hi. I have previously made a report card on this same topic, but since the issue still remains after it was closed, I am making a new one. This time however, I brought some EVIDENCE. When playing a Duel in Turbo Mode, the "time after opponents guess" is (supposed to be) 10 seconds, unlike the regular 15. Each round also has a time limit of 30 seconds. I will be referring to a specific instant during the round based on what the 30 second timer is showing, i.e "at 10 seconds" is the same as "after 20 seconds" and so on. This works as intended most of the time, EXCEPT if I or my opponent guess(es) anywhere BETWEEN 15 and 10 seconds, at which point the timer just continues without dropping to the intended 10 seconds (i.e. the player that hasn't guessed yet still gets 30 seconds in total). My theory is that the code that is used was made for a "time after opponents guess" of 15 seconds, and so it finds that a guess made at say 13 seconds should not affect the timer by jumping to 15, as this would add extra time. At the bottom, I have linked a game that I played today as proof that this is happening. We will focus on rounds 2 and 3 only. Before round 2, I asked my opponent to let me guess before them, and I did so at 13 seconds (my replay is 17 sec long). Checking their replay, the timer clearly does not change when it gets to 13. The exact same thing but opposite happened in round 3 after I told them to guess with 13 seconds left (their replay is 18 seconds, so they guessed at 12 sec but my point still stands). Again, you can tell from my replay that I was given the full 30 seconds. The Game: https://www.geoguessr.com/duels/6a3ebd9f0377306e658a52d6/summary Note: To test this, I have been playing unranked to not disturb the competitive aspect. That being said, I don't see any reason for the game working differently in a "real" game. Thanks!
