When you refresh the page it should put you directly back into the game, you shouldn't have to click "rejoin"

Especially since the UI change, a lot of players often have to refresh the game to get rid of lag or avoid bugs. Almost every duel I play I have to refresh at least once. It used to be that it would put you directly back into the game, meaning that at least it was a quick process. Now when you refresh it puts you on the duel leaderboard screen and you have to click "rejoin" to get back in the game. Why? What purpose does that serve? It just makes the process slower and more annoying, and there have been a few times when the extra time it took meant that I couldn't place my pin down before the timer ran out. Please change this back. Thank you.
Edit: I forgot to mention this part, but this would also solve the common bug where there is no "rejoin" option after the page is refreshed, leading to an automatic loss.

yes I completely agree and as LuxgiL said I think that there should also be a rejoin button as a backup, and CunningStunt I agree with you as well I sometimes get a completely black and/or white screen and have to refresh and click the button which is risky if it doesn't appear or if he guessed and there is not enough time left.
(also could you support my thing as well: support small creators with mini-creator badge to any GeoGuessr Creator (must show YT channel) + section to post about your favourite Creator)
sorry the name is very needlessly long.

Yes given the fact updates have increased the amount of times we get a blank screen or map, this is basic logic.

I am most-likely the person that is responsible for this button to exist as I opened some time ago a feature request for this on single duels.
But I fully agree with your post. A refresh of the tab should automatically put you back into the game.
I was just thinking of what happens if you close your tab or browser instead, a simple reload might not be sufficient or other cases might occur where a reload wouldn't be working anymore.
Maybe having both the button and the reload as an option would be good, just in case it is necessary.
