When searching for maps, add a checkbox to filter out polygonal maps.

Yes, please! Polygonal maps are basically spam.

MiraMatt or OxGG or anyone else...
Can you explain why Polygonal maps are considered basically spam?
I do not understand what is wrong with them? Too easy? Cannot play NM or something like that? What is it you dislike about polygonal maps?
Not against filtering polygonal maps just would like to know before I vote.
As an entry to making maps I created polygonal maps using the in-built Geoguessr app and later via the apps in the community space (thank you to the authors of the apps).
As a mapper the only thing I see wrong with the Polygonal maps is that you cannot see the locations that are selected in the map and cannot modify or remove them individually.
But as a first way of making maps it is easy and done in minutes.
Sometimes quicker than searching for one.
....Also if there needs to be a filter for filtering out polygonal maps.

So you noted "you cannot see the locations that are selected in the map and cannot modify or remove them individually".
Many different very large problems are implied in this. Indiscriminately picking up every location means that all third-party locations are picked up, which are very unreliable in quality and mapping accuracy. It also means areas with a higher frequency of new panoramas are arbitrarily represented more than a similar area with less density of panoramas. Even within Google Street View coverage, this means every location inside a tunnel, with a glitched-out camera, etc. is picked up as well.
Ideally GeoGuessr has a substantially more advanced search with many features. But I am asking for the most bothersome problem to be solved first.
There are numerous handpicked maps with thousands upon thousands of locations. See https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qXtRSZoIj8RRzCib6Im7Cuvx4FumYTXT1SYDAIcu8W4/edit?gid=0#gid=0.

0xGG Thanks, for the in depth reply.
I now understand why it is not preferred and could be considered spam. And why a filter should be added to try to avoid getting them in results. Added my vote hope it helps
