Elo Reset is unfair and must be removed.

Players reaching higher elo ratings than in previous years can be attributed to a greater understanding of the game, achieved through thousands of hours of study, analysis and play.

These players were rewarded for their efforts by reaching new elo milestones, the most satisfying part of the game. We are now being punished with nothing to show for our studies. Having spoken to many players across all rating categories, I hardly found a single player with something positive to say.

This change will turn many of the stronger players away from the game. For example, a friend recently crossed 1800, and now wonders why they spent so much time to reach the milestone, only for it to be taken away.

Between decay and now elo reset, what a rough week for the devs. The community has absolutely no say on any of these matters, which is incredibly disappointing for a great product like geoguessr.
