Please remove the red notification icon on the "Suggested Friends" button

The recent addition of the red icon with three notifications for "suggested friends" is extremely annoying. Our brains are wired to see tiny little red circles and click on them and there's absolutely no getting rid of it. I don't want to add random strangers as friends, yet my eyes are drawn immediately towards that bottom right corner of the screen every time I look at the page.

I could not agree more. It's a known UX/UI thing, that a number in a circle suggests something unread and with a ability to remove it by some action, any action in fact. In this case it's counter intuitive and with no way to remove the number.
For the time being I'm using stylish/stylus custom CSS for geoguessr.com domain with added
span.unread-badge_badge__uxEZG {
display: none;
}

It is infuriating. I am that type of person who clears things anytime there is a number suggesting theres things there to clear out. But I cant. Its just permanently on 6. No way to clear them.
This has to be day 1 developer stuff to do. There should be no reason that this dumb addition didnt have an "opt out", or a "clear when clicked on" option. Surely even your least skilled developer could competently do this task.

Yeah, don't suggest who my friends should be.
