Option to remove pin from map
RockyReef250
For fast moving (obviously you can also use enter with chat off) but you might accidentally hit space or forgot you had a pin down. Either way, it'd be nice if there was an option to remove your pin from the map, like an icon next to the + / - options at the top of the mini-map for example.

Just noting that this is one of many different feature requests where the actual request seems to be for any solution to the problem that fast moving doesn't work with a pin down.
I've also seem variants asking for a rebind options, removing press-Space-to-guess overall etc. This particular ticket currently seems to be the one with highest upvotes, but just noting that my upvote is merely for _any_ solution to the underlying problem, not necessarily this one, and I suspect many others may think the same. (And I'd personally prefer a rebind/unbind option.)

The "remove pin" button could just be a mouse right-click while hovering over the mini-map. And then a mouse right-click while hovering over the mini-map could re-insert the pin exactly where it was last located.

Seems like a popular request. I commented on another very similar one:
"The work-around is to refresh your page to un-pin, but it also resets your position which is pretty annoying if you had travelled far."

I guess the problem is that space is used for both fast moving and guessing (and enter for both fast moving and chat) so what you need is either a different guess button or a different fast moving button.

just use enter instead of space??

xman190 That's not a solution for team duels, when Enter becomes chat instead of movement. So if I put down a pin somewhere to indicate a region to my teammate, then I can't fast-move any more

turning off chat in a team game (unless you got voice chat) is about the stupidest thing you could do. The literal point of team duels is to discuss ideas and communicate info to work together.

The feature to remove pins strays slightly from the game's main focus, which is making decisions based on marking locations. It could confuse new players and increase the chance of accidental clicks on this new button. Instead of removing a pin, why not simply reposition it on the map?

supra If you have never used spacebar to move, or accidentally hit spacebar on Explorer mode, 1 hour into searching for a location, you wouldn’t understand the pain. The only way to reset it currently is Ctrl+R, which also brings you back to the original spot and you lose all your Ctrl+Z history and your checkpoint. Your argument is that this would harm new players somehow?
