Currently only the person uploading the map is listed as an author, it would be great if you could add additional people as authors. I am currently working on a map with others and this would be a nice feature to have

Definitely a good idea. You can still have the "host" name on it, but maybe an additional tab to the side that says "see all map contributors" if the mapper chooses to add them.

They started putting tags for maps, I think this should be doable.
