The problem I have
I have created a website for our club in the hopes of attracting new members. However I feel like it is not very accessible (hidden in a tinyurl link in our club description that isn't even clickable).
In general I think a website provides really powerful tools to bring across what your club is all about that a simple description that is very limited in length simply can't.
The solution I'd like
A setting for the club where I can put the link to the website that gets displayed when someone looks at our club. There might need to be some screening of the clubs websites to protect everyone from malicious actors.
Alternatives I have considered
  • A simple markup text field where you can paste for example html (with optionally some features disabled to make this secure) that gets displayed when someone looks at your club. This would obviously not be as powerful as a full website. As we are for example querying live data on our website this would limit us.
  • A global index of club websites. But I don't feel that would fit into the club concept.
