Party not working

Whenever I create a party, my friend cannot join: After they input the code, they get a message like "oops, looks like you're lost" (in FR: "Oh non vous etes perdu") but there is no error in the console. We tried many things but nothing worked. It's been buggy for a few months now.
On my side, I see them in the player list but grey out. (see attached image)
On their side, the error keeps appearing even if they leave the page and come back or hit F5 or clear their cache, etc.
The error happens on their side until I dissolve the party on my end.
It's really a shame because I'm still actively paying for a premium subscription.

Joining through the desktop. He used to join as a guest before and that stopped working too so he created an account but that didn't help.

Jérôme J.: Thanks. I tried from my end and it worked as intended which means it must be something local or a setting that stops your friends profile from joining.
Have you friend tried some troubleshooting as per - https://geoguessr.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/206000056716-troubleshooting-for-common-issues ?
Is your friend joining from the App or desktop? On the App we dont have all the game modes yet so that might be the reason.
Or is it the same for all game modes you are selecting that your friend gets this error message?

I will follow the troubleshooting with him ASAP then come back here!
They're joining using the web version on their desktop!
Tbh, we haven't tries with different game modes yet as the screen goes to "oops" as soon as the page loads (so we never even changed the gamemode - so it's either the default one or the one previously played? I'll check) but maybe we should add this to the troubleshooting and try if switching to another mode fixes things!

Filip hey Filip, I was able to try again today and the issue seem to have solved itself. I have two computers on the same LAN so I tried to switch which computer would use the hose and which would use the once-buggy computer, it worked! So I re-switched to see if it was still buggy like before but it's no longer! Thanks for the support!
