New maps have scoring completely messed up

Maps made on or after 2025-04-03 default to world map scoring no matter the region(s) covered by the map.
For example, this map https://www.geoguessr.com/maps/67eef4db4f683c194413d2a4 (Malaysia Meta Practice) should only contain Malaysia locations, so in theory if one guesses a country like India they should receive 0 points (like with this map https://www.geoguessr.com/maps/634050c7fc09dbb1e6c107c6), but instead you get around 500.

I hope this gets solved asap. Updated some of my maps and now the scores and high scores of people playing the last few days completely wrong

When creating maps and playing them its given insane high score even if you press really far away. Playing old self-made maps works fine

While we work on resolving this issue, in the meantime you can set a custom 5k distance that fits the map better by enabling it in image one, then customising it in image 2!

Enabling the custom 5k radius now looks like it works but not properly, I just made a quick map with locations really near to one another and set the radius to 25m, yet the score does not follow the same trend it used to (with a 25m radius being 26m away should award around 4900 points and being a few km away should award 0 points), I leave the link to the results of a game I played to better show the points trend and I also attach a screenshot of some results played on a San Marino map for comparison

I also see the problem when updating an existing map that was created before this date.

The scoring is especially messed up in city maps, you will get a 4900 no mater where you guess and will still get 4000 points even if you guess way outside where the locations are.

I noticed it too when making my maps, the 5k range is set as default to 175m and editing it doesn't actually change anything in game, I made a map, set it to 25m, made the first guess >100m away from the exact spot and still got a 5k
