Map not loading, in-game keybinds activating while typing in chat boxes

For over a week now the map in game has been very inconsistent.
From time to time it will randomly stop loading making the map either blank or just extremely blurry (not loaded). Furthermore, while playing singleplayer classic maps, it will also give me a small message telling me the round failed to load and that I should try later.
I have a good setup and a fast/stable internet so those issues aren't on my end (I play on Google Chrome with Balanced(raster) map setting).
The second issue I want something to be done about is the in-game keybinds being ACTIVE while using any chat box. This is very bothering as you cannot chat with someone while being on a map's leaderboard page (pressing space bar starts a seed). One thing to note is that this issue seems to not be present in multiplayer but only in singleplayer (not entirely sure).
While the first issue could be server related, and therefore there wouldn't really be anything that could be done from your side, the second issue I'm reporting now is definitely easily fixable and wasn't a thing up until less than 2 months ago.

Would you be able to send on a screen-recording on the second issue?
Also for the first one, is it the same if you try another browser or device? Or do you have any scripts/plugins enabled?

I've already tried disabling scripts while this issue was happening. One thing that might be notable is that it might be related to "raster" map format as when the issue happens, it fluctuates between 3 different phases every few rounds:
-only loads the most unzoomed format of the map (so everything is blurry and retains the unzoomed scale when you try zooming in
-blank map (map is partially visible while completely unzoomed and turns blank when zooming in
-When the map is about to load back in properly it first loads the map properly but "google maps" format. (so not raster but EXACTLY how you'd see it when you open google maps (with highways being displayed in grey rather than yellow like on raster)
I tried my best describing it as your file size limit only allows me to show you the 2nd issue with a video.
Few extra issues that aren't bothering per say that you also might notice in the recording is the fact that I can see myself in my friendlist randomly (not always the case/happens randomly but often when i quit a solo play and open another geoguessr tab).
Also, when I receive a message from someone, it will show a previous message of theirs in the "unread" tab, not the most recent one(it sometimes show the first message sent during said day for every next unread tab notification onwards).

it made me start playing the map when I pressed spacebar while typing in dms and then in-game keybinds activate as I use the dm tab in game as well.

Update: this map issue seems to be related to Google Chrome but tweaking the settings dont fix anything so idk what to do about it. I've noticed map loading poorly in recent geoguessr videos as well so it's not a "just me" case.

zeno: Thank you. We will look into the 2nd bug with the in-game keybinds activating. For the other bugs with yourself showing up in the sidetray as well as the latest message not being shown.
Can you send on a screen-recording of that if possible as well as if its a specific user-id your are friends with and have a long chat history with that might be the cause.
Also to be able to to check the map not loading further, can you provide the following:
- OS (Windows/macOS/Linux)
- Chrome version
- Device model
- GPU
- Whether the issue occurs in other browsers besides Chrome
