When the game was last updated, my profile icon border has changed from the level 90-100 explorer border to the level 20-29 traveller border. I am level 94 so not sure whether this is a bug or something else.

Ah yes, I had to go to the shop->border, manually select the explorer border and hit save to change it back.
The option to change your border wasn't something I knew existed, but I'm not sure why it wouldn't just set it to my current level instead of reverting it to the traveller border.

For me happened the same. You have to go to click on your level number and there you can select the border again.
