I’m reaching out about an issue I encountered when trying to change my username on GeoGuessr.

My previous username was Fugi the Penguin, and I attempted to change it to Fugi (")> (I wanted to add a small penguin-like emoticon at the end).

However, after submitting the change, I noticed that the > character was missing, and my new username was saved as Fugi (").

I’m sure I typed the full username, including the > character, before pressing Enter.

Since username changes are limited to once per month, I’m a bit frustrated that I can’t fix it. I’m not sure if this is a bug or a restriction on special characters, but I wanted to report it, and kindly ask if it would be possible to:

either manually update my username to Fugi (")>,

or allow me an additional username change attempt.
