Don't mark this as completed if you if you merged different problem here which is the pin that stays after a guess from previous day/box if you do it one after another as in quoted report. I guessed a place in Asia and then opened next day, moved with space and pinned and guessed Asia again which was a guess from previous day. It is still not fixed and kinda dangerous because you can't redo the day.
Or can you? If you did your calendar in one browser you can also do it from the beginning on another. Is it cookie/browser storage based state? That would be weird.

Holiday Challenge doesn't open map

When I click on the day in the Holiday calendar, the window opens but the map does not open. When I get out of Holiday Challenge and reenter, then the map appears with the clock already ticking down. And now when I click the Back button to reenter the Holiday Challenge, it takes me completely out of GeoGuessr and I have to login again.

Basically, try hitting the reload button on your web browser just after the advent calendar door opens. It's worked each day for me (so far) and it minimizes the time loss.

When receiving the gift, before it gets opened, the reward is already shown in the door of the calendar and therefore is no surprise. Not sure whether this was intended this way.

Holiday Challange map not saving marker

I played the first map of the Holliday Challenge and, after finding the city, I couldn't find the right place. Anyway, the time was running out, I left a marker in the city and tried to find the spot to no success. The problem was, unlike other maps where it saves your marker and guesses it from there, the game didn't recognise it, and it said that I didn't guess so I lost the prize. Can anyone check it, please?

That's how it started for me as well, but I noticed the round also showing in quick periodic 'flashes.' After a while I hit the reload button and was able to play the round.
The holiday challenge was also glitchy a few years ago, so we probably need to be ready for whatever.
